Mortgage criteria... The banks generally look for around no more than around 33% of your gross monthly income to be taken up by fixed outgoings (loans/mortgages etc). If your ratio is higher than this, then the banks will reduce the amount that they will lend to you. The banks favour track record of employment. Self-employed normally need minimum of 1 year accounts. The French banks will as for all the usual documents such as pay slips and bank statements. They will look at your whole financial picture and come to a quick decision.
